One more piece from the book that I am writing. Once again, the limited scope of this blog restricts me to give to introduction to the characters. However, I thought maybe the extract itself may rather be sufficient as a content matter. I will probably upload a chapter or two, once I approach a final version of my book. So keep your eyes peeled to find hear about that update.

—

Maitreya: How can you be so sure of what you are saying?

Me: I am not.

Maitreya: Don’t play with words.

Me: I am not.

Maitreya: So what is the benchmark or test that can prove your theory?

Me: Since it is not the conventional science, of course I don’t have lab reports of having tested these ideas on Monkeys and mice or rabbits or pigs. Yet, so far, it hasn’t failed in running a verification trial on humans.

Maitreya: How do you do that?

Me: Would you like to participate?

Now Maitreya was more than curious and was bubbling with mixed emotions and desire. On one hand, he was amused, intrigued and entertained by my theories. Obviously, for him I was just another lost young man, wasted to alcohol and misadventures of life. Yet, it was difficult for him to go beyond that. The obstacle could have been anything.

I was fascinated too, observing him. On one hand he is a well read, highly knowledgeable therapist with a great reputation and fan following and still he was unable to let go of his pride, prejudice and ego. In many ways, he was my teacher, my guide, my guru and yet that evening at that very crucial point, while simply talking about my concepts, our roles switched. I became his teacher, guide, and his guru. Interesting aspect was his resistance. Indeed for me it was a little strange too.

Me: What do you want?

Maitreya: Moksha, Nirvana!

Me: You have it.

At this point he was really stumped. He looked at me, as I had picked up my beer glass quietly sipping away from it. A few strange awkward moments of silence followed. He sipped from his beer. Looked at me, closed his eyes, and took a few deep breaths. I think he was either digesting what I had said or was simply trying to calm his anxiety or anger. Finally he gave me that classic look that said, ‘What the hell are you saying?’

Me: You can’t want what you don’t know. What you know, is most likely what you have experienced. Something that you have experienced is with you. You only have to seek it, within. Not without.

He still looked a bit rattled and was trying to either make sense of what I had said or maybe he was trying to invent questions to counter me.

Me: My dear Maitreya, if I were to ask you that do you want xandaloopadilogphe, what would be your answer?

Maitreya: No. What the hell is that?

Me: My point exactly. Since you don’t know what it is, you can’t want it. You don’t want what you don’t know. It does not matter if how you know it. The difference is, even if you were to only read about it, since you want it, it means you know what it is like to have it. You have experienced that. Let’s take a simpler example. Happiness. You have experienced it. Hence you always want it. You have experienced sadness and hence you don’t want it. Apply this to anything. Moksha, Nirvana … whatever exotic or otherwise spiritually high words, it still means the same. Since either you want it or don’t want it, you have experienced it. Since you have experienced it, I say it is there within you. Not outside. Hence you need to seek for it within. Not without. Think about it.

—

Our desires, needs, wants, craze and also their opposites are all based upon our own experience. Somewhere, in our lives, we must have experienced it and hence we keep wanting that experience again. Instead of focusing on the experience itself, most often we get carried away in the activity or the object involved. It does not necessarily have to be your own involvement. It could be a memory from reading about something. It is always the end result that we expect to reproduce. The object or event as such is incidental.

Some may argue bout what if someone read or hear about something fascinating that they did not know before. Friends the answer is simple. It is the feeling or expectation of repeating one of our known experience that triggers the desire to want it. Not the new found object or activity. So remember, there are two aspects to this story. One indeed we must understand that it is our own experience that drives that crazy need/want for something. At the same time, be open and allow more experiences to fill your life.

Have a good one.

I wanted to write on 100th monkey syndrome or as known as 100th monkey effect, for quiet sometime. However for some or the other reason, the whole idea was delayed. Today, finally I am attempting to put words to what I feel about it.

I was introduced to this story by a learned scholarly friend from Luxembourg. I remember my awe when I heard the story for the first time. I also remember clearly that the awe was not about the story itself but how it related to humans more. In fact the modern day humans. Of course our discussion at that point of time was about the collective consciousness and how people have simply become herds and blindly follow anyone who is willing to lead them.

Of course the original theory about this 10oth monkey is arguable and there are various views on it. Some strongly believe in it where as some on very ‘scientific’ level tend to defy it. On a side note here, I am getting equally annoyed by this ‘scientific’ community. Very few of them are pragmatic and sensible. Most of them come across simply as arrogant and ignorant idiots. Science and education seems to have blinded them instead of opening up their vision of the world. They are more sceptic then most sceptics I have seen. If you observe carefully, all these scientific minded and rational people are at root, sad and forever unhappy.

Back to my point of 100th monkey story. Putting aside the validity or truth about it’s ‘scientific’ nature, for a moment just look at what it is telling in simplest way. Isn’t it true, if applied to humans? I mean look at us. If 10 people start doing something or following something, we tend to notice it, add 10 more, we start noticing it more. So on till such time that it reaches a critical mass of becoming a ‘trend’ … then we start worrying. Since we don’t now much about that something, yet we see it as ‘trend’ of things that are happening, we worry that we will be left out. Guess what? Before you know, you become the 100th monkey. By this time everyone is doing that something so you are also automatically doing it.

How mindless we have become. To me, it is shocking. What surprises me is that more and more people are turning this way. Becoming followers. The freedom of making choice is diminishing. Somehow the human race has accepted, that too willingly, to become slaves. The only word that comes to mind is ‘Sad’. It is too painful for me to even elaborate the range and depth of the sadness I feel when I see so many trapped slaves.

Where has gone the good old fashioned spirit of living. The courage of facing the challenges. The joy of laughing and sharing. Sheer excitement of being alive and kicking. All that is missing unfortunately. Our education is making us more stupid and no one is noticing it. We all know that man has learned nothing from the History and yet we keep teaching History to young minds?! How cruel can we be to our own children. When we are allowing this, we are nothing but that 100th monkey.

There is a lot that can be written about META medicine and the benefits of it. However, I will leave that to experts to explain it to you. I want to introduce you to therapy that is non intrusive, drug free and efficient in bringing about change in life. It is all about bringing happiness back in life. As most of you know, that is what I teach, preach and yearn to propagate in life. More happiness, more fulfilment and more joy, all around us.

If you were to search or research on the subject, it is quiet likely that you may come across very confusing and intimidating information on what is META medicine. In fact you may also find people claiming it to be total quake. However, from my personal experience, not simply as a receiver of the treatments but also as trained in one of the modalities, I would strongly recommend that you should seek a personal explanation from one of the therapists. Look for someone who would be honest and willing to give you a free, no obligation, brief introduction to the world of possibilities.

Here, let me share one such wonderful therapist and good friend of mine, Penny Croal. You can either click on her name or follow the link below to reach her website and explore for more.

The link to her site is http://www.changeahead.biz

I will be adding more reviews and links in following days for those who are interested in META medicine. Of course you will find them under Alternative Therapy Section. So till such time, enjoy the link I have posted for you today. When you visit these sites, do drop them a line and mention that you found the link with me. Cheers.

Atheists need GOD.

No kidding. From where I see, I find that it amusingly true. The so called Atheists are like bunch of kids singing ‘Here we go round the mulberry bush …’

Ironic, sad, funny and yet true. Now it is a different matter altogether on my views on GOD and religion. I can’t stand the rigidity of conforming to norms, to certain belief system that closes the possibility of learning something new, discovering something different, blocking a unique and exhilarating experience. It is not acceptable for me. Life, I feel, is too short to compartmentalise and label it for sake of it.

Atheists, Buddhists, Humanist, Optimist, Pessimist, Chemist all are same for me. They all conform to norms. To rules. They are all slaves of a system they can’t understand. They simply follow what the rules say. Rules that govern their behaviour, their reaction, their response. Everything is measured. Everything is pre-determined for them.

What happened to the true spirit of human being? Well who am I to use the word ‘True Spirit’ here so loosely. However, I do feel that we are born free. Only to enslave ourselves, later on, in the chains of so called society, religion, school, church, government, belief system and all that. Amidst the reigning chaos, I do admire this bunch of jokers who call themselves Atheist.

Their profound statement ‘I don’t believe in GOD’. Love that. See, even they need GOD to prove that they don’t believe in GOD. Under the pretext of ‘Scientific’ thinking or so called logical, rational trash, they still vehemently defend their shallow stand.

Now, hang on, for a moment. Who said I am religious person? Please get that notion out of your head quick. Else you will miss the fun of this article. I am not religious either. I can’t stand the conformity of a religion. I always say, if I have to be slave I did be my own master. I am my own GOD if I have to be.

I chant, I pray, I revere the DIVINE, I love, I laugh, I accept, I surrender, I live, I die and all this is with the ultimate intelligence that I have been granted. Ouch, too heavy. Let me tone it down.

I am the Energy. The ultimate truth. There is nothing but Energy. There is only other state and that is there is no Energy. For some reason, we are paired. Definitely. To complete the oneness. Zero is a very dangerous idea. Of course Zero adds an entirely new dimension to the meaning. In fact it completes the idea of oneness. Look around and you will find that nothing is complete without something else. One gets its value because Zero has none. If there were no Zero what would be One?

You see what I am trying to say is that the belief system is good to follow, so long as one is making sense out of it. People talk about life because there is death. People value good because there is bad.

Atheists don’t believe in GOD. Fine. So they have something that they don’t believe in. The question is however, will not believing in something change the truth? It is perfectly right for them not to believe, and it is their right to do so. However another question is why should they then insist that what they believe is true? Is it not becoming religious? Conforming to norm? Following set patterns of behaviour?

All these ‘isms’ are nothing but religion and any religion in my view are enslaving. At the end of the day, what matters is did you enjoy the moment. Did you live that moment and were thrilled by the experience or you were just too busy trying to see if it fit in your religion?

We are all prisoners of the conditioning. My argument is about this conditioning. We need to break free from it. We are so overwhelmingly dictated by ‘norms’ of society. Standards set by some vague authority which we have formed to govern our lives. We created this to enslave us. We have for some reason become too lazy to live our own life. We have don’t live anymore. We just exist in this pathetic biological form called Homo sapiens.

Someone will notice that this article is result of agitation. Yes, I am agitated. I have been seeing too much rubbish going around. I saw, I read things that disturbed me so much that I just can’t sit back and do nothing about it. I still can’t do much about it.

I will definitely not write about trending subjects to attract more traffic. This blog is not about ‘fat Indian women’ either. This is my blog. My thoughts are published here. It is my world. The free happy world that I prescribe to everyone, world that I want everyone to have.

A world free from rigid belief system.

I do not teach for or against religion. It is not my field to teach that. I do not know religion enough to teach. However what I teach is to respect each and every belief that other may have. It is not the cliché tolerance either I am talking about. Look at it this way for a moment.

You do not want anyone to dictate your life. Would you? Then why do you want to dictate anyone else’s life? Live and let live.

Mother Teresa, once said, ‘Don’t call me to anti-war rally. Call me if there is a peace rally’.

Atheists, for GOD’s sake, find something that you believe in and stop ‘not believing’ in GOD.

PS: I will be polishing this post later sometime. Promise.

On this fathers day, I am so happy to have complete the third site. Now the project is officially live. What it is about, I will discuss some other time. Just wanted to make a quick note on this day, of a great step forward. I also dedicated the most important of the three sites to my Father.

It was his encouragement and nourishing of a growing childs curiousity that led me to learn more. Never to worry about formal studies but to explore whatever comes to mind. To be brave, to be honest and to be gentle. With such strong early foundation, I must say I am blessed to have grown in to a more humble simple person.

The three sites are:

The Story Teller: This site. Where you are reading. This will be about me. My adventure. My life, my book and everything about me. Purely to serve as more or less a personal journal. Expressing my mind, exchanging experience had through the day, something about me.

“I factor Theory”: For those who have followed this site so far, good news, this entire ‘I’ Factor Theory has a site of it’s own. What I have been promising here now will be available there. My talks, lectures, notes, comments … the lot. Think of it as the learning centre or information centre.

Buziness side of “I”: This is where I will be offering commercial services or links or any such thing that has to do with earnings. Money part or growing business part will be there. I am not getting the right phrasing for it but .. sort of ‘office’ or ‘shop’ for me and my ‘I’ Factor.

So wish me luck and get ready to explore lots of more stuff that I am going to put up. Since now officially the project is live.

Let me tell you a story. Well thats what I do. Tell stories. Stories, probably you have heard before. Stories maybe new. However, with the story I tell, there is a lesson, a message, not the obvious one, but something specific for you, is attached. Read it carefully and see how you feel.

So the story goes …

–

Lu Ting, drove half the town across to eat at a greek restaurant of Papadopoulus, for simple reason, the owner Papadopoulus made the best tasting fried rice in town. Every time Lu Ting came to the restaurant, Papadopoulus would call his friends to watch something what he found extremely funny. Lu Ting would order, “Flied Lice” please and this made Papadopoulus and his friends fall off laughing.

The Chinese pride could not take this insult anymore. Lu Ting took special diction lessons just to be able to say ‘Fried Rice’ properly.

Comes the day when he proudly walks in to Papadopoulus’s restaurant. Orders ‘Fried Rice please’.

Papadopoulus couldn’t believe this. He asked again, ‘What did you say?’

Lu Ting shouted, ‘You heard what I said, you Gleek Plick’

–

Now a few of you would wonder what this story has to do with the title of the post. Look carefully and you will find.

In our lives we tend to do a quick patch, quick fix to issues that would usually need some long term permanent solution. We may learn to say ‘Fried Rice’ but ignoring the fact that dictions for all other words also need to be changed. There is no point fixing the symptom when the cause remains.

Before it is too late, find the cause, get rid of it and be free. Don’t do a Lu Ting style fix the symptom solution. Fix the problem, remove the cause.

… and men too.

Has anyone wondered why India as a nation has so many fat people? Supposed to be a poor developing nation and yet, you find so many fat people. I exempt the older generation but what about those below … let’s say 50? Big hard shelled bellies, flab dangling around arms, legs and hips. Some even have flab around neck and face. Is is just the food? Life style? Negligence? What is it? I know by now, many of you have prepared an answer in back of your mind. You are probably right in your answer. I think differently.

I think it is sheer lack of self love. No body really loves themselves. All are very complacent. Naïve about knowing what is self love. Always neglecting, ignoring, almost running themselves down. Destroying the self. Then wondering why life is not happy?

Why I say this? I observed something. That prompted me to think about it and now I am making this comment. India, we the people of Indian, lack the spirit of living. What was the observation, you may ask. Tell me, have you seen a cheerleader team in India of Indian people? I was reading an article on the internet on IPL and came across a photo album posted by the writer. Young beautiful girls in skimpy cloths doing all sorts of acrobatics, cheering the crowds. Can you imagine, for a moment, Indian girls doing this? Why not?

Because …

Exposing your body is act of shame. You should always be dignified. Only ‘cheap’ girls / women wear ‘cheap’ cloths. Ouch! Am I sounding a typical middle aged pervert here? Who cares. The fact is I don’t see Indian women, wearing bikinis at the beach. Well in that matter anywhere. What are they ashamed of? Themselves? Their own body?

Let me make a point very clear. I am not one of those half baked post-modern person. It really does not matter if one wears bikinis or not. However what I find interesting is the reason behind it. I do not buy the cultural aspect. Excuse me… see those sculptures at many of archaeological / historic sites. Women are depicted in most exotic ‘revealing’ dresses. Now that is a proof of our culture, which we have big time adulterated. I am a firm believer of ‘dignity’ and maintaining one. I have my own views on how people dress and present themselves. However I am not judgemental.

The point I am trying to make here is, under the strong conditioning by the system, we have lost our identity. We have lost our need to be happy. We have lost ourselves. We no longer love ourselves. We no longer pride in what we are. The way we are. We want to put on the shield of ‘dignity’ and hide the truth. The beautiful truth of our being. Starting from our body first.

Forget about dressing, we don’t care for our body in many ways. Sub-consciously the resulting act is putting on cloths. To cover up. There is tremendous amount guilt feeling. There is misconception that the reality is ugly. My friends, reality is beautiful. You are real, you are the creation of the Divine and I don’t think Divine makes anything that is not beautiful. He made you. It’s a different matter that you don’t agree. Probably you can’t see and hence you don’t agree. Discard these false norms of society. Bow and respect to only one. The ‘I’ that is you. Let ‘I’ be your master. ‘I’ is the Divine in you. Say to yourself ‘I Love you’. Say it to your body ‘I Love you’. Just say ‘I Love you’ and see the shackles breaking away.

Set yourself free. Go form a cheerleaders troop. Doesn’t matter if the troop is half pretty as the ones imported. Soon the Love will change it all. India is slowly dominating the world scene. Let’s influence the world in as many good aspects as we can. Let’s win the game of Hockey for once. Let’s pass a resolution for constitutional change demanding the MP nomination should only be after passing central exams. Like IAS service.

For once let’s love ourselves. Wear bikini. Go out in company with like minded friends. Dare to live a life. Don’t be afraid of those perverts. They win when you are scared. We have let them flourish. Get rid of the fear.

Give me a Indian cheerleaders troop will you. Something original. Blending he east and the west. I know it is possible. Maintaining all the dignity, respect and charm. I have seen it elsewhere. In Thailand. Why not we too have that? Show me, show the world, show yourself that your love yourself. See what happens next. The world will love you.

Think about it. The relation between cheerleaders and Fat Indian women. Men too. If you need, search the Internet and you will find this logic applicable to all those countries where the orthodox mind set prevails. Middle east, central and Latin America, South Asia. Don’t look for glam pics. Look for picture of people. Study. Observe. Learn. So that you can implement something good for yourself in life.

My Mother was fat too. I loved her dearly. It is not about being fat or not. It is all about whether you love yourself or not. My Mother loved herself a lot and hence she could love everyone. Fat or not.

WHY DOES MAN GO ON LIVING IN THE SAME REPETITIVE CIRCLE, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND LIFE AFTER LIFE?

It is simple. Because you don’t really live. That’s why you want to repeat. If you really live, there will be no need to repeat. If you have loved, and known what love is, there will be no need to repeat; you will be finished with it. Whenever something has been known totally, you are finished with it. When something remains unknown, you hanker. Natural it is, you go on desiring. You have not loved in this life, you will desire another life. You have not loved THIS woman, you will desire another woman. You have not loved THIS man, you will desire another man, in some other world, in some other planet.

You have not been able to see and recognize and realize who you are in THIS life you will hanker for another. The incomplete hankers to be completed, that’s why.

And then you can understand my standpoint. That’s why I say: Live totally! Live utterly! Whatsoever you want to do, do it! Don’t avoid and don’t repress, otherwise you will have to come again. And come again, and come again.

– OSHO

THIS VERY BODY THE BUDDHA

CHAPTER # 2 : THE LAST ALLELUIA

Could not help but to post this one too. Something tells me that someone needs to read this. Maybe it’s me that I need to refresh myself. Maybe it’s you. Maybe it’s just another casual visitor in search of something but not knowing what. I got up with an overwhelming urge to post one more of Osho statements, at 1.30 in the night and added this. Inspiration? Or plain insomnia. Who knows. Then again, who cares. I felt like it so I added it. Comments are always welcome.

Find the freedom. Find that Happiness. Remind yourself. Make a sticky note. Put it on the fridge. You do that all the time for groceries. Why not do it for your own Happiness?
