Project Forgive

Project Forgive

Somewhere, I guess it was in one of the live sessions, when I was talking to a group in Koh Samui, Thailand, I had referred to various ways in which one can contribute to betterment of Human Kind. The idea, the method and the action does not have to be conventional or anything that is usually labelled as ‘good deed’. It can be simple as supporting a genuine cause, spreading a word or two about similar projects, talking more and promoting proactive steps. The list is infinite.

Here is one that I would like to bring to your notice and also present it as an example of how can one make a difference in the world.

Today I am going to talk about ‘Project Forgive‘. Click on the phrase and a new tab/window will open that will take you to the project page.

Everyone of us, in some form or the other, to certain degree, greater or not so greater, have suffered immense hurt and losses. It could be as small as our feelings being hurt to as immense has having lost everything. In my personal experience, there is no greater sadness for ordinary folks like you and me to having lost ‘Every One’. That is just un-imaginable. I know that feeling. I have been there. I was almost all alone for that patch in time. I know the kind of courage it would take to even remotely think about anything as simple as ‘forgiving’. To top it, forgiving the  person who is responsible for your losses? Hell no.

Yet, forgiving is the only acceptable act that will bring peace to you. I can see the resistance already in your mind. I can relate to it. Then, I will stop at that point. I won’t further your apprehensions, as I have seen and experienced, it is difficult, indeed, not impossible.

I urge you to read about this ‘Project Forgive‘, watch the video. Feel it. Not just analyse it. Sense the power, the strength in it. Then do the right thing. Each person will get a different message out of it. As each person has different issues to deal with. Remember to stay focused on the core message. Not on the words or storyline. The message.

I have committed myself to promote this project. As much as I can, with or without the limitations I have. I am sure you will do the same. When people have spent so much on lost causes or causes that are so overly hyped, I feel it is time to support and promote something so genuine and something that can have longer lasting effect on the lives of people. Something that will go a very long way.

I wish you peace, beyond all understanding.

I must be old fashioned!

I must be old fashioned!

Everyday, on Internet, through browsing web pages, reading blogs, reading news, interacting with people through social networking sites or instant messages, I come across myriads of new terms and lingo that I have never heard before. Some of them, in fact can’t be ‘Googled’ or found anywhere on known information sources. It goes even beyond that. It is not just the language, it is the entire ethos of life. The cloths, the fashion, the food, the attitude, the values by which they live, the boundaries of ethics, the limits of what is legitimate … the list is almost infinite. Everything and anything now a days is suddenly so absurd for me.

I may have problem adapting to changes. No don’t get me wrong. I am not stubborn or regimental. I embrace any new idea so long as it is innovative and sensible. I simply can’t follow it blindly because it is ‘in’ or simply because it is ‘kewl’. Sometimes I feel that when they call it ‘Awsome’ they actually meant ‘Awful’ or ‘Terrible’. Let me attempt some examples, say a picture table of what is popular and what I feel about it.

Image: Popular View: My View: Alternative Image My Humble View:
Gothic Hair Style Looks Kewl Yeaw!  Catherine Zeta Jones Now this is what I call Elegant.
Fad Platform Shoes So cute!! Oh MY GOD?!?  Practical and yet Beautiful shoes  This is a close enough example.Perfect it is not but close it is.
Extreme and Strange Body Piercing Awesome!!! Ouch… That ought to hurt big time. How can this be beautiful?  Beautiful Simple Piercing Simply Elegant. Brings out true beauty of the person.

I will add a few more as and when I find appropriate stuff. Till then enjoy.

That Experience

That Experience

After reading so much literature on spiritual people, various gurus, avatars, ammajis, maayis, healers and what have you, one thing baffles me a lot. Almost all of them had some sort of theatrical or very dramatic, out of the world, experience. On the lines of ‘Close encounter of the Third Kind’, each of them have either near death experience or something that they are unable to explain in plausible terms. Attributing their experience, to some ‘un-explained’ phenomenon and soon after they were enlightened. Voila!

If one looks at the descriptions of these events more equanimously, the only message that comes across that they were hallucinated for whatever reason. Modern science and psychology has admitted that hallucination can occur without use of substance. One can be under tremendous stress, depression or emotional turmoil or fear and still can experience hallucinations.

Do not get me wrong. I am not judging them, their experience or doubting their wisdom. What I am intrigued is the fact that most of them were ‘transformed’ after certain specific grand event in their lives. Which makes my nasty little rascal mind to think, what if, by some means, if such experiences could be reciprocated? We have the technology. We also have the resources. Why not make a product/practice out of it so that more people can attain higher levels of wisdom and there will be peace on earth. Once again.

I may sound naïve and farscical here but come to think of it, when so many of them did go through such experiences, what is the common factor? Their reading? Their meditation? Their food? Their life style? Nope. Only common factor was most of them had that ‘experience’. If only we could figure out what that is and reproduce it. It would be such a wonderful thing. Imagine world so full of wise people. Imagine a world with no more hierarchy, order, no more teachers and no more seeker or masters. All human beings living in harmony and peace.

On second thought, I resist that urge. What will happen to all the excitement of ordinary life? What will happen to all the spicy gossip and masala scandals of guru caught on tape in compromising state? What will happen to millions and billions of rupees worth economy that thrives under name of religion and spirituality. All that pomp, snobbery and glamour. I will miss those saffron robes, weird beards, and strange character uttering rubbish on TV and entertaining me. I love comedy. I am a sucker for laughs. Have you seen those pre morning TV shows? I did once. No comments, you get the gist. Above all, what will happen to all the scandals that will follow the death of them masters, all the in fights amongst trustees to control vast amounts of wealth?

I guess it would be a bad idea to find that ‘experience’ and reciprocate it. So my friends, let’s have fun, discussing, deliberating, debating and reasoning with each other under pretext of finding an answer. It sounds very intellectual. So be it. I enjoy the vibrant energy and get to learn a lot from it. So long as no one comes across insisting that one is right and the other is wrong. I cannot be bothered. No one is wrong. No one is right either. Everyone simply is.

Peace be with you.

Beginning of the next Phase

C3FK5UWNW6NY

Starting from April 1, 2012, The project ‘Happiness Effect’ enters it’s next phase. This is where plenty of material is created for training and communicating purposes. Video, Screen Casts, Slide Shows, Audio Blog, Booklets, Conventional Blog articles and all that. Hopefully with contribution from others too. Else it could become a pretty slow process.

I have completed the process of acquiring the required tools, applications for delivering the next phase. I have even drawn out a plan and hopefully I am able to stick to it and stay on course. Exciting times have just begun.

If anyone has any suggestions ideas, please do share with me. I will try and incorporate them. Look out for more video posts, blogs and even small books for quick reading.

Thank you all and everyone for your continuing support to The Storyteller and his Happiness Effect project. Everything bout the ‘Power Of I’ and beyond.

Do You want Xandaloopadilogphe?

Do You want Xandaloopadilogphe?

One more piece from the book that I am writing. Once again, the limited scope of this blog restricts me to give to introduction to the characters. However, I thought maybe the extract itself may rather be sufficient as a content matter. I will probably upload a chapter or two, once I approach a final version of my book. So keep your eyes peeled to find hear about that update.

Maitreya: How can you be so sure of what you are saying?

Me: I am not.

Maitreya: Don’t play with words.

Me: I am not.

Maitreya: So what is the benchmark or test that can prove your theory?

Me: Since it is not the conventional science, of course I don’t have lab reports of having tested these ideas on Monkeys and mice or rabbits or pigs. Yet, so far, it hasn’t failed in running a verification trial on humans.

Maitreya: How do you do that?

Me: Would you like to participate?

Now Maitreya was more than curious and was bubbling with mixed emotions and desire. On one hand, he was amused, intrigued and entertained by my theories. Obviously, for him I was just another lost young man, wasted to alcohol and misadventures of life. Yet, it was difficult for him to go beyond that. The obstacle could have been anything.

I was fascinated too, observing him. On one hand he is a well read, highly knowledgeable therapist with a great reputation and fan following and still he was unable to let go of his pride, prejudice and ego. In many ways, he was my teacher, my guide, my guru and yet that evening at that very crucial point, while simply talking about my concepts, our roles switched. I became his teacher, guide, and his guru. Interesting aspect was his resistance. Indeed for me it was a little strange too.

Me: What do you want?

Maitreya: Moksha, Nirvana!

Me: You have it.

At this point he was really stumped. He looked at me, as I had picked up my beer glass quietly sipping away from it. A few strange awkward moments of silence followed. He sipped from his beer. Looked at me, closed his eyes, and took a few deep breaths. I think he was either digesting what I had said or was simply trying to calm his anxiety or anger. Finally he gave me that classic look that said, ‘What the hell are you saying?’

Me: You can’t want what you don’t know. What you know, is most likely what you have experienced. Something that you have experienced is with you. You only have to seek it, within. Not without.

He still looked a bit rattled and was trying to either make sense of what I had said or maybe he was trying to invent questions to counter me.

Me: My dear Maitreya, if I were to ask you that do you want xandaloopadilogphe, what would be your answer?

Maitreya: No. What the hell is that?

Me: My point exactly. Since you don’t know what it is, you can’t want it. You don’t want what you don’t know. It does not matter if how you know it. The difference is, even if you were to only read about it, since you want it, it means you know what it is like to have it. You have experienced that. Let’s take a simpler example. Happiness. You have experienced it. Hence you always want it. You have experienced sadness and hence you don’t want it. Apply this to anything. Moksha, Nirvana … whatever exotic or otherwise spiritually high words, it still means the same. Since either you want it or don’t want it, you have experienced it. Since you have experienced it, I say it is there within you. Not outside. Hence you need to seek for it within. Not without. Think about it.

Our desires, needs, wants, craze and also their opposites are all based upon our own experience. Somewhere, in our lives, we must have experienced it and hence we keep wanting that experience again. Instead of focusing on the experience itself, most often we get carried away in the activity or the object involved. It does not necessarily have to be your own involvement. It could be a memory from reading about something. It is always the end result that we expect to reproduce. The object or event as such is incidental.

Some may argue bout what if someone read or hear about something fascinating that they did not know before. Friends the answer is simple. It is the feeling or expectation of repeating one of our known experience that triggers the desire to want it. Not the new found object or activity. So remember, there are two aspects to this story. One indeed we must understand that it is our own experience that drives that crazy need/want for something. At the same time, be open and allow more experiences to fill your life.

Have a good one.

100 Monkey Syndrome

100 Monkey Syndrome

I wanted to write on 100th monkey syndrome or as known as 100th monkey effect, for quiet sometime. However for some or the other reason, the whole idea was delayed. Today, finally I am attempting to put words to what I feel about it.

I was introduced to this story by a learned scholarly friend from Luxembourg. I remember my awe when I heard the story for the first time. I also remember clearly that the awe was not about the story itself but how it related to humans more. In fact the modern day humans. Of course our discussion at that point of time was about the collective consciousness and how people have simply become herds and blindly follow anyone who is willing to lead them.

Of course the original theory about this 10oth monkey is arguable and there are various views on it. Some strongly believe in it where as some on very ‘scientific’ level tend to defy it. On a side note here, I am getting equally annoyed by this ‘scientific’ community. Very few of them are pragmatic and sensible. Most of them come across simply as arrogant and ignorant idiots. Science and education seems to have blinded them instead of opening up their vision of the world. They are more sceptic then most sceptics I have seen. If you observe carefully, all these scientific minded and rational people are at root, sad and forever unhappy.

Back to my point of 100th monkey story. Putting aside the validity or truth about it’s ‘scientific’ nature, for a moment just look at what it is telling in simplest way. Isn’t it true, if applied to humans? I mean look at us. If 10 people start doing something or following something, we tend to notice it, add 10 more, we start noticing it more. So on till such time that it reaches a critical mass of becoming a ‘trend’ … then we start worrying. Since we don’t now much about that something, yet we see it as ‘trend’ of things that are happening, we worry that we will be left out. Guess what? Before you know, you become the 100th monkey. By this time everyone is doing that something so you are also automatically doing it.

How mindless we have become. To me, it is shocking. What surprises me is that more and more people are turning this way. Becoming followers. The freedom of making choice is diminishing. Somehow the human race has accepted, that too willingly, to become slaves. The only word that comes to mind is ‘Sad’. It is too painful for me to even elaborate the range and depth of the sadness I feel when I see so many trapped slaves.

Where has gone the good old fashioned spirit of living. The courage of facing the challenges. The joy of laughing and sharing. Sheer excitement of being alive and kicking. All that is missing unfortunately. Our education is making us more stupid and no one is noticing it. We all know that man has learned nothing from the History and yet we keep teaching History to young minds?! How cruel can we be to our own children. When we are allowing this, we are nothing but that 100th monkey.

It was time for Changing

It was time for Changing

Law of Attraction, Ho ‘oponopono, Success Coaching, Happiness coaching and Numerology is all happening pretty interesting for me. At the same time I was also busy developing some services so that I can help some aspiring Internet Marketers. A compact, pre-designed website with their own domain name, setup for them and ready to go at affordable and cheap rates. All that work kept me busy. Shuffling and re-arranging my sites all over again to accommodate the new changes. My own philosophy of ‘I Factor’ states that the change is always welcome. One must and always should lovingly embrace it.

So after a long absence, I am back, gradually returning to my schedule of writing, posting new articles and also adding plenty of new contents for all to share and benefit. That is my passion. I simply love it. Remember, if you ain’t lovin it, you better not be doin it. Things done with passion, almost eccentric like mad devotion and belief in the creative work you do, you will succeed. Trust me. I am your living example. I am not Steve Jobs or Warren Buffet or any other extremely successful personalities. I am just another ordinary Joe, like you, yet enjoying life to the fullest. I have my dreams and one at a time, they are all manifesting.

You want to manifest your dreams then get ready to walk your mile. Be prepared to walk on Success Boulevard. Get set leave foot prints on the sands of history. Become and beacon of inspiration to others in your life. Start with your own self. When you will shine others will notice and will want to do the same. Spread some joy and do so have some in your life first. Come join Happiness Effect. An idea that changes lives of people, those who embrace it lovingly.

Reach out and you will be supported. You will be carried to where you ought to be. Don’t be afraid. It is your time. Right here right now.

Love, An Emotion So Scarce…

Love, An Emotion So Scarce…

How I wish…
Love was on sale!
I could grab as many
To cheer myself
…….than stay pale.

The most needed of all emotions
Yet so scarce…
The ones blessed don’t value it
Those deprived, crave…

An emotion, if strong
Can win life over death;
A feeling, if shared
Can gather the world’s wealth.

When missed, can kill…
The ever lively soul;
When lost, will fill
A lovely heart with foul.

A sensation so Divine
Can it not remain..
In Sun and in Rain
In Joys and in Pain?

Hope love exists
In abundance…
And heals hearts
Living in redundance!

Rule #1

Posted by on Oct 12, 2011 in Fun Stuff | 0 comments

Rule #1

We always hear “the rules” from the female side. Now here are the Rules from the male side. These are our rules:-

Please note…. these are all numbered “ #1? ON PURPOSE!”

1. Breasts are for looking at and that is why we do it. Don’t try to change that.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You’re a big girl. If its up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don’t hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Saturday = Sports. Its like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.

1. Shopping is NOT a sport. and no, we are never going to think of it that way.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: subtle hints do not work! strong hints do not work! obvious hints do not work! Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That’s what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

1. If you think you are fat, you probably are. Don’t ask us.

1. if something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.

1. you can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colours, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a colour. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what Mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.

1. if we ask what is wrong and you say “nothing’, we will act like nothings wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don’t want an answer to, expect an answer you don’t want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine. Really.

1. Don’t ask us what we are thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics and Sex, Sport, or Cars.

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round is a shape.

1. Thank you for reading this; Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight, but did you know men really don’t mind that, its like camping.
